Common Questions

Got Questions?
We've Got Answers.

Six things our engineering customers ask us most — answered clearly and directly.

01
Can RUEN chargers work without battery storage — just direct from the grid?
+
Yes. All RUEN AC and DC chargers operate as standalone grid-connected units with no storage required. ESS is an option, not a requirement — you can add it later to the same system. Battery storage becomes valuable when grid capacity is limited, peak demand charges are high, or solar self-consumption is a priority.
02
What CPMS platforms does RUEN's OCPP support — are we locked into your cloud?
+
No lock-in, ever. RUEN chargers support OCPP 1.6 and 2.0 and are tested with all major platforms including EV.energy, Monta, Virta, ChargePoint, and AMPECO. You can use our EasyCharge cloud or connect to any compatible third-party CPMS — your choice at any time, with no switching fees.
03
How long does it take to go from enquiry to delivered product on site?
+
Standard lead time is 3–6 weeks from confirmed order to ex-factory. For stocked AC charger models, this can be as fast as 1–2 weeks. Integrated ESS + charger systems typically require 4–8 weeks depending on battery capacity. DDP logistics to most major markets add 1–2 weeks. We provide an estimated delivery schedule with every quote.
04
What is the minimum order quantity — can we trial a single unit?
+
MOQ for standard products is 1 unit for initial sample/trial orders. For commercial production pricing, MOQ is typically 10–20 units depending on product type. OEM/ODM customisation (branding, firmware, connector configs) typically requires a minimum of 50 units. Contact us — we work flexibly with new clients on pilot deployments.
05
Does RUEN offer white-label / OEM products for charging network operators?
+
Yes — full OEM and ODM support is a core service. We offer custom enclosure design, brand colour matching, white-label firmware, custom splash screens, and custom RFID/app pairing. We work with CPOs, energy retailers, and property developers who want branded charging infrastructure. Request our OEM customisation brochure for full options and pricing.
06
What after-sales support and warranty do you provide for EV charger projects?
+
Standard warranty is 2 years for AC stations, 2 years for DC fast chargers, and 5 years for LiFePO₄ ESS. We offer extended warranties to 3 years for all products. Remote diagnostics, OTA firmware updates, and first-response support are included via EasyCharge platform. On-site support is available through our certified installer network in most key markets.
